I wrote "Sunset on Misery River" while driving on a trip around Lake Michigan. Because I had essentially the whole song done in my head, I didn't have a guitar accompaniment for it. No problem, right? Wrong! It took me about three months to figure out what the chords I was hearing actually were, how it should be played on a guitar, and finally, learning to play it! but I love it.
